Congratulations on the launch! Your project is focused on data ownership and I really like it. I think this approach can save a lot of time, which is very important.
Could you please tell us how you ensure seamless scalability for large applications?
I wish you every success!
Hi Anna 👋 Glad to hear you like Appwrite 😇 If your scalability question is regarding Cloud, we support large applications by having enough computing resources online. We also actively monitor the load on the entire infrastructure to ensure we can scale as soon as it's necessary. If a huge project plans to host their application on Appwrite Cloud, we are also very open to discussions to ensure everything goes smoothly. In some scenarios, this could even mean setting up a dedicated database just for one project. Regarding scalability for self-hosted, it should be very simple since all Appwrite containers are stateless. That means you can spin up the same container 10 times, or on 10 different servers. All should work out of the box as long as you proxy the requests properly (Docker Swam can help there).
AppWrite is both an amazing product and an amazing company, they have build a beautiful product that is versatile and consistent in its features. And to top it off a strong community has gathered behind them, and they are always ready to help out where needed!
AppWrite makes it incredibly much easier to handle the back-end side of your Flutter apps, I can't recommend them enough! They also have a very friendly and helpful community that can support you when you need it.
Thanks for the kind words 🤩 I personally also love the community side of Appwrite! You not only get support from the Discord community but also directly from the Appwrite core team. We are always intrigued by unique projects and love to help with brainstorming.
I love building with Appwrite. It gives me an instant and well-performing backend that can easily scale vertically and is loaded with the features I need.
