Hi all, I'm the creator of Antholo, which is a visual bookmarking tool and more importantly a way to tag/create collections of web pages and text documents on a subject matter. For example, if you like drones, then you can create a collection of the best drone web pages, blogs etc. But in a way that is easy to use and search when going back to your collection.
Sharing your collection couldn't be easier - just send someone the URL of your collection.
I had used various other services in the past to collect bookmarks of useful pages, but none of them did what I needed, which was a nice, simple, visual way to collect pages and to tag them appropriately. In the past I used things like thinkery.me and other resources that have sadly since disappeared, but none of them suited me 100% - and even if Antholo just suits myself 100%, then I am happy, but I open it up to everyone else to use in the hope that others will find it useful as well.
Here's a collection of reviews about something called 'SPIN Selling' that I share with sales teams in my day job: http://antholo.net/user/james/spin
To add bookmarks to Antholo, you simply log in, add a url, add the appropriate tag(s) - that's it. You can also create private bookmarks or text items. This is useful if you want to create your own mini-library of a subject but want to hide something that you may be working on in secret.
As well as adding links to web pages, you can also add your own text documents by selecting 'No URL Required' checkbox when adding a new item and then simply adding your own title and content - useful if you want to make and/or share notes about something.
I appreciate all feedback and welcome any input.
Thanks for reading
James
