Hi Hunters. I am Kabir, founder of AirBolt. It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to share our latest product here with the Product Hunt community, the AirBolt GPS. Over 10 million pets are lost each year in the US alone and we lose countless hours each year looking for lost possessions. The replacement costs are in the billions. Isn’t that crazy? I personally have two little pups at home, and my heart skips a beat even by the thought of losing them. I can’t tell you the number of times our team have misplaced their keys or purses. So, we looked everywhere for the right solution to stop of us losing our possessions. To our surprise, we found nothing that could really do the job. Bluetooth trackers failed when you went out of range, existing GPS trackers were dated, used old technology BUT worst of all they were HUGE and had a terrible battery life! As in a battery life of few days only! Thus, we spent the last two and half years researching, partnering with the right companies, and building the perfect solution. We invented The AirBolt GPS – World’s Smallest GPS + LTE-M/NB-IoT tracker lasting up to 12 months per charge – and that’s with tracking on (not in standby!). It can track anywhere, anytime, it’s waterproof, it has global coverage, it’s rechargeable via USB-C…the list goes on. It’s global tracking like it was meant to be! Everything we do, is designed to solve a problem, our journey started back 2015 when we invented the World’s First Smart Travel Lock due to the frustrations of losing keys & forgetting combinations. EDIT: I have found a way to chat with support in their Australian TZ. I have figured out a lot of the problems but am still working with them to resolve outstanding issues. I will increase to 2 Stars and re-edit when I have an update with my issues. They are a new company and I am betting overwhelmed with issues on such a new product. How can all the good or otherwise reviews be valid when it HAS JUST started to ship?? I only just got my device a month or so ago and they NEVER shipped before Jan 2023. Support is awful, if you are lucky you get a reply (after the automated ack) a day or so later. Its always from the same person "May" - do they only have ONE person? Secondly the product doesnt work as advertised and the month service trial has so far been fraught with issues and a waste of time. If anyone from airbolt is reading this please get in touch !!! For instance - two devices sat on my window sill for the last few days, one reported in as being 200 miles west of me for 3 minutes and then back to my location while the second one 'did not move'. The accelerometer does not work properly and I can shake my devices like mad and get no movement warnings. Guys I know this was an Indiegogo funded product but you are actually selling these now so how come you arent acting like a real company and supporting your customers.... my email is rswiftDASHgeneralATusaDOTnet NOW I HAVENT HAD A REPLY FOR 5 DAYS AND I HAVE PROVIDED WORD DOCUMENTS AND VIDEOS DOCUMENTING ISSUES... This review will be as informative and quick as I can make it: I bought two of those and none will pair with any of the phones at home. The apps* crash and don't track the AirBolts. Currently (may 2023) simply worthless. * You need to join the beta for one of the two apps (why are there 2 different Airbolt apps?).
