I have been using free hosting for WordPress for several years now. Everything is fine. The free plan has limited technical support, but when I broke my account, support restored it. Unfortunately, due to the war in Ukraine, automatic SSL is no longer supported for me. But this does not depend on hosting.
I use AccuWebHosting for few years now and there were never problems. Primpt support service and you get more than you need.
I am using the free hosting for an artist website and it has been great. It is dependable and works very well. It was a little difficult to sign up at first but once done, it is a great service.
For a free hosting site AccuWeb is very good, I have had excellent support from them.
