Hello! Yesterdays is a simple, privacy-centric memory tracker. Write down simple moments, thoughts, or sayings. Things you might otherwise forget, but bring you joy when you remember them. It's all private by design, and you can export your content any time.
Hello! I built Yesterdays to solve a problem I've had for years. At various times, I've used Evernote, Notion, Obsidian, and Airtable to write down funny things my kids said, or small meaningful moments with my family. Problems: 1) the notes were mixed in with all sorts of other stuff, 2) it was tricky to get the memories "out" of these tools to quickly reminisce about them, and 3) I felt icky about bigger companies owning and potentially having access to this sort of content.
Enter Yesterdays: a straightforward, private space for capturing memories. Stripping away the complexities of typical journaling apps, it offers a no-frills way to note down and tag memorable moments. Later, stroll down memory lane with our 'Randomized Nostalgia Trip' feature or use a widget that to surprise you with random memories.
All your data is yours: stored and synced via an iCloud container that only your Apple ID can access (I can't even get to it if I tried). You don't even have to create an account to use it, it just works with your existing Apple ID.
So, I built Yesterdays for me, but I hope you enjoy it too :)
