Hello, Product Hunt community👋🏻! I am Roman, CEO and Co-founder of workstreams.ai. We are happy to reintroduce our app on Product Hunt. After four years of building, testing, and fine-tuning our app with our users, we are proud to showcase a brand new version of workstreams.ai - a results-oriented, data-driven workflow management app and Kanban board for modern teams. It's designed to enable users to focus on priorities, automate their processes, collaborate, & get things done. Why do our users choose workstreams.ai over other workflow management apps? 🔁 They can spend less time on tedious and repetitive work by building adjustable and customizable workflows based on their organization’s set processes. The workflows use the Kanban method, allowing teams to adapt to changing priorities and workloads dynamically. ✅ They can manage their tasks by adding deadlines, checklists, descriptions, attachments, subtasks, as well as automate recurring tasks. Then, they can assign them to team members to track progress. Additionally, they can monitor inactive tasks with the frozen task feature to eliminate irrelevant projects from the taskboard. ⏳ They can track their own or their team members’ progress and performance through the time allocation feature and the GSD (Get-stuff-done) Index. The time allocation feature measures task durations, allowing them to see which tasks take up more time, and adjust their work ethic accordingly. The GSD Index is our reliable performance index, it gathers information from previous tasks & provides a data-backed estimate for how long each task should take. 🗓️ They can plan & schedule tasks with ease through our in-app calendar and integration with Google and Outlook Calendar. 📩 We have an award-winning Slack integration and Microsoft Teams integration, allowing them to manage their work right in these apps. 🌳 Last but not least, workstreams.ai is simple to use for everyone on their team. Our app was inspired by nature. As Lao Tzu mentioned, “Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it.” With that in mind, our workflows are just like water, you flow with them & not against them. With the help of the workflows, our users can reach their goals with ease. We would love to know what you think about our App - what you love about it, what you don’t exactly like - any feedback and reviews are welcome! If this did spark your interest, workstreams.ai is FREE for teams up to 3 users! For bigger teams, our annual subscriptions start at €6.99/month/user. The workflow revolution is here! 🙌

@antonikozelski thanks, there is more to come in the coming months! It would be great to hear what are the most tedious parts of your daily work that should be either eliminated or improved.

Could you elaborate on the GSD part? How does it work?
Roman Roznovsky
@sentry_co with pleasure ! This blog post gets into the details https://www.workstreams.ai/blog/... Long story short, instead of estimating how long the task will take, we measure the time previous similar task took and compare the current task to it. As a result you get a number below 1 - current work being delivered faster above 1 - current work being delivered slower Than reference tasks in the same workflow. We have heard a lot of requests how to make this feature even more relevant and some our coming soon!

@sentry_co hi Andre! What the GSD index does is track time each tasks spends in a particular workstep. Imagine your process has 5 steps, for example with steps like "feedback" or "review" being two. It also track the time the task was worked on in general, from planned to completion. The GSD tracks how much time each tasks spends in each, so over time you can say, with confidence, that your team takes "XY hours/days" to "review" or give "feedback" to a task. That way, you can benchmark your performance and see whether you are within your usual output, or there are places for improvement. It's one of those features that gets better the more you use the app. No more estimates from people, we are all biased :D. Let the work tell the story.

@roman_roznovsky Yes some tasks are not so confined and more complex etc. Would be interesting to see how estimates are made for such tasks.

@roman_roznovsky @sentry_co Thanks for your insightful question, André! The GSD Index and time allocation mode are valuable indicators of efficiency that can supercharge your productivity. You're right that task complexity can vary greatly, and that's where using additional features can provide a fuller picture. Think of the GSD Index as a spotlight - when it shines on a task that takes significantly longer than average, it's a cue for you to dig deeper. Labels and custom fields come into play here, letting you categorize tasks based on complexity level, project type, or any other relevant factors. The goal is to use the GSD Index in conjunction with these other tools to get a nuanced understanding of your processes. If a complex task takes longer, it might be perfectly normal. But if it's taking longer despite allocating more resources, it could indicate a bottleneck or process issue that needs addressing. In essence, the GSD Index is not about penalizing variation, but rather about highlighting areas where further investigation might be needed. I hope this helps clarify things!
