TokenCounter.co is a simple tool we created to help you count tokens and estimate costs for AI models like OpenAI and Anthropic. We created this because we couldn't find a lot of good free token counting tools that supported multiple models as well as gave cost estimates. Just choose a model, paste your text, and get instant token count and cost estimates. It's that easy! We're looking to add more models and features. Congratulations on the launch! I would like to understand how the calculation of tokens should be the same for all models. Why is there a need to support switching between different models for calculations? Is it just to view different prices?
