What do you think? …

Robert Meiring

Hey everyone! I’m the maker of The Wall.

This started as a fun social experiment:

What if scrolling was free… but posting cost you?
And what if the price went up every time someone spoke?

The Wall is one shared, permanent feed.
No ads. No edits. No algorithms.
Just you, your voice, and the rising cost of being heard.

The first post cost Ø1.
Now it’s Ø2.
Next? Ø3.
It keeps going — for everyone.

It’s about timing, impact, and deciding when it’s worth saying something.
Sometimes that means speaking up early. Sometimes it means waiting too long.

Would love to hear what you think — and see what you’d post before it gets too expensive.

Now on Android.

what's the sole purpose of this app? like there's abundance, i can tweet anything on X for free, so why would I want to pay to share?

Robert Meiring

@_mukund_ Totally fair question.

The Wall’s not trying to replace free platforms — it’s a social experiment.
By making posting cost something (and more each time), it adds weight to what you say.

It’s about timing, impact, and scarcity — not noise.

Hey Robert.

Just want to make myself clear – the purpose is a digital detox?

Or is there any other intention?

Robert Meiring

@busmark_w_nika Hey! Great question.

It’s not exactly a digital detox — more like a rethink.
The idea is to slow things down, add weight to what we say, and make posting a choice with real cost.

So it's part social experiment, part commentary on how we treat attention and permanence online.
But no pressure — you can always just scroll for free :)

@robert_meiring That money aspect really makes me think about how to use my money and time! :D
