Hi! I'm Yen, one of the makers for this year's report:) 2022 has been a hard year for tech. With the Great Resignation and recent layoffs, teams are really hurting and feeling added pressure. We took a step back to take a snapshot of burnout. We talked to over 350+ managers at top startups and looked to industry experts for advice. As always, we didn’t hold back: You’ll get answers to: ☄️ What is burnout, exactly? 🌎 Why does burnout hit remote teams harder? 🚧 Who's at the highest risk of burnout? 🔥 What are the stages of burnout? 🧯 What can tech companies do to get ahead of burnout? But that’s not all! You’ll also get expert well-being tips and tricks for putting well-being first on your team. Our team at Kona had a blast creating this report. Download all 26-pages for FREE and share it far and wide. Let us know what you think in the comments. Thanks! Cheers, Yen

The #burnbook was inspired by the many internal conversations we had about the different stages of burnout and how do we help managers spot them and deal with them. As a remote manager I always knew something was wrong before my direct reports did, but I didn't have the vocabulary to address it. Talking about mental health at work is awkward, but it's the most important skill managers can be trained for. I hope this resource will help you know when to intitiate a conversation and what questions to ask 🙏
