Hey Product Hunt!
We're excited to launch the Analytics Application (Pro) — open-source analytics for your intranet, knowledge base or public website.
Built with Matomo integration and with privacy in mind! We believe both your wiki and analytics data should be yours.
Designed with user privacy and data ownership in mind, this app empowers you to:
See how your wiki or public website is used. Analyze user behavior & content performance.
Make informed decisions. Back your strategies with data-driven insights.
Customizable Dashboards: Tailor insights to your specific wiki needs.
Keep your data yours. 100% data ownership, through your own Matomo server.
Privacy-First: Leverage Matomo's GDPR compliance.
You can try it yourself, in a free demo on XWiki Cloud: https://try.xwiki.com. After creating the demo, you'll see the app in the top left corner of your instance. Interact with your wiki, create pages, use the search bar to start seeing the data in the app.
Also, let us know what you think! Your feedback is crucial for shaping the future of the app.
very nice, just tried it out in our company instance, seems to work great. Might actually forget about GA4 once and for all (it's more of a nightmare than a real help). Here, metrics are really easy to understand. The multiple dashboard thing - didn't know how much I needed that, very cool. good job
@milliescwartz That is awesome to hear! Thank you so much for already trying out the app. We hope you will enjoy using it on the long run. Don't hesitate to also propose improvements on our github: https://github.com/xwikisas/appl... .
Hi everyone! I am Stefana, Product Manager of Apps&Cloud @XWiki.
Working with hundreds of XWiki Clients and Users for the past 6.5 years, I noticed that wiki administrators struggle to identify the most useful content or prioritise areas that should be improved. Also, knowledge organization was often a guessing game, but those times are gone now!
With Analytics Application (Pro) you can learn valuable insights about the most accessed pages, searched terms and user behaviour. Equipped with all this new information, you can:
1. Reorganise your wiki so that it better highlights the most important content
2. Create content or procedures on missing topics
3. Cleanup old or unused pages
4. Create dedicated dashboards for individual teams, so that each team lead can make informed decision
All of this, in the "XWiki way" that you are already used to: secure and privacy focused.
Many many thanks and congratulations to @alexandru_farcasi and the whole Pro Apps team for all the hard work on this new application.
We hope you will enjoy using it and we look forward to your feedback!
Extremely versatile, as simple or as complex as you need. The fact that it's open source just makes it that much better IMO. Great alternative to Confluence
XWiki is like a Swiss Army knife for organizing information. It's open-source, so you can tinker with it and shape it to fit your team's needs exactly, which is awesome if you're into customization. It's great for teams because it lets everyone collaborate easily on projects and share knowledge.
What's Great About XWiki:
Super Customizable: You can modify it almost any way you like, from adding extra tools to designing it to match your team's style.
Team-Friendly: You can comment, see past versions of pages, and set who can edit what.
Extensions Galore: It's got loads of ready-to-go add-ons, so you can quickly make it do more cool stuff.
Scalable: Whether you're a small startup or a big enterprise, XWiki can scale to handle your needs.
Where XWiki can Improve:
Takes Some Getting Used To: All those features can make it a bit confusing at first if you're new to wikis.
Setup Can Be Tricky: If you're not tech-savvy, setting it up might be challenging.
Bottom Line:
XWiki is super versatile and powerful if you're looking to organize your team's knowledge and projects. There's a bit of a learning curve, but once you're up to speed, it's a fantastic tool to have in your pocket.
