Stylesöm is the free phone app that lets you create a personal Fashion & Travel site with its own unique url and customized look. Stylesöm is also home to the Fashion Exchange - a fun and low cost marketplace to trade apparel with other shoppers.

So why produce Stylesöm? This is a personal, fun passion project. Our small team wanted to offer a quick and easy app to allow anyone to blog on-the-fly using their cellphone without the hassle of setting up a formal WP or similar account and having to purchase a domain name. There are many well established social media apps we use, but they often don't offer much in the way of personalization and style choice. It's pretty much the same white background, gridded images and videos, and tons of ads. Stylesöm is for fun. It's probably not for the serious blogger who wants to gain a million viewers, but you could still earn an income with the app by posting affiliate links and writing sponsored content on your Stylesöm page. And the other reason for the app? Many of us have so much old clothing sitting around collecting dust that's worthless to us, but would be greatly appreciated by others. I cleaned my closet last weekend and although much of what I found was worn out and very used clothing, there were a few gems that I had barely ever worn and could make somebody else happy. I could sell this clothing on other fantastic resale apps and websites. But people aren't usually interested in good but mid-tier apparel on these sites. If I did sell my apparel, I'd usually have to pay a large commission fee. Hopefully the Stylesöm Fashion Exchange will give joy to those who want to hunt and bargain for fashion and have good clothing to trade for it. We purposefully made the Fashion Exchange fee very low at $1, and any shipping fees you purchase are standard USPS rates (you can alternatively buy your own shipping outside the app). For those interested in the tech specs: the phone apps are written in native Android (Java) and Swift. The server is hosted on the Google Cloud and Firebase Server platform with standard encryption and OAuth 2.0 protocols. Credit card billing is through the Stripe API and shipment purchasing is via the ShipEngine API. We also have Google AdMob to serve ads and Analytics in the background. Stylesöm is a work-in-progress and in Beta development. The Fashion Exchange doesn't have much of an inventory at this time as we need people to post their clothing for trade. If you sign-up for the email list, we'll email you the link to download the Android app from Google Play or register your email in the Apple App Store so you can download Stylesöm via the Test Flight app. We'd love to hear your comments and criticisms of the app so we can make our project the most fun it can be.
