Love this idea, @moonscript, and the Daily Art Warmup club is a good example of how social reenforcement can be motivating and more fun.
I have some friends (@hnshah, @davidspinks, and @mijustin come to mind) that at one point blogged every day. This could be a useful platform to share and track each other's progress.
Hello, I've created and just launched Streak Club this past day.
I've been using "streaks" to stay motivated for quite some time now, namely GitHub's code contribution chart, and more recently something called Weeklybeats, where you submit a song weekly. The goal is to keep doing something at a regular interval for as long as possible.
In 2015 I wanted to draw every day so I built a site that let anyone create social streaks. The site facilitates uploading submissions, keeping track of deadlines and how long you've been going. If the streak is public then anyone can join, and there's a system for providing feedback to encourage fellow users.
Here's a drawing streak that me and some others are doing in January: http://streak.club/s/1/daily-art...
And here's a blog post I wrote that goes into more detail about the project: http://leafo.net/posts/introduci...
Thanks
