I put this site together because throughout all the art critique I've given, shading and lighting is one of the most common problems, and I've found myself frequently suggestion people start by studying simple shapes. The only problem: it's hard to find good references! Tired of forcing new artists to wade through the garbage in google image search, I created this site so people could have a simple tool to help them get off the ground and learn shading and lighting.
