Hello Product Hunt! 👋 We are excited to launch the new version of our Sunscreen Finder: it's a free online tool that helps you find the sunscreen that matches your skin needs and budget - so that you can actually wear it and protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Dermatologists all over the world agree that wearing a sunscreen is the number 1 thing you can do for the health and beauty of your skin. It is important for any one - including people with darker skin tones! We've got inspired to build this tool after a conversation with a friend who said that he doesn't use a sunscreen because all the products he tried stung his eyes and caused skin irritation. The thing is, sunscreens are confusing - there are more than 15 different sun protection ingredients that can be used in a sunblock, and all of them are different in terms of the UV spectrum they protect from, their stability, how likely they are to irritate skin and eyes, or to leave a white cast. In addition, not all sunscreens are formulated to reliably protect from both the UVA and UVB rays - and it's not easy to tell it from the sunscreen packaging. Our tool takes all these factors into account when matching sunscreen products with your skin needs and preferences. Try it, and we'd love to hear your feedback!
