👋 Hey Phriends

Great to be back on PH.
Let me tell you a story...

My dad is 89. He wanted a new printer and asked me for help choosing one. I went to Amazon and sent him a few links to printers that were reasonably priced from major brands, with high ratings and lots of reviews.

He thanked me for the links, then asked me "Which one?"

I then asked ChatGPT to write something up and help make some decisions.

I started thinking about all the mom bloggers that want to create gift guides, and food influencers that want to share their favorite kitchen appliances but didn't have time to research and write about them.

I ran some Google searches for things like "Landscaping ideas" and "Valentines day gift ideas" and ALL of the top organic results were roundups. This wasn't just SEO-friendly content. This was the highest value SEO content.

We were already generating insights with Botsheets, but I found @kirill_shevch online who was already working on an AI blogging tool and came together to focus on AI-generated product insights with a thesis that If you provide insights that help people make buying decisions, you're delivering value that an audience, a search engine, and storefronts all appreciate.

We started with Amazon as a data source which was a no brainer decision, and then added AppSumo's marketplace as a data source for software. Both of these marketplaces are invested in affiliate marketing already, so we integrated not only with their product catalogs, but their affiliate platforms.

In short, Roundups saves you time doing product research and rewards you for creating and sharing content of value.

You can probably imagine how this can scale too with Roundups for restaurants, concerts/events, travel, real estate, etc.
Product influencers can share direct links, but we also have WordPress integrations.

Positive feedback and spreading the word will only help keep the team motivated 💪 🚀
Feel free to create and share a software Roundup on LinkedIn to see how people respond, or better, if it converts to affiliate revenue.

We have a free plan.

Happy to answer questions and thanks for your support, especially @kevin our awesome hunter!

💡 Bright idea
@kirill_shevch @kevin @joshbarkin This is a fascinating approach to empowering more people to become distributors by lowering the barriers with AI. It reminds me of some retail and social platforms in China, where creators can repurpose KOL live-stream content to resell their products and earn commissions, essentially leveraging human efforts to combat platform algorithms. I’m curious—what do you see as the core value of your product? If the aim is to create a large volume of AI-generated guides to influence buying decisions, isn’t there a potential downside? Historically, these guides represented the wisdom and creativity of individual creators. If AI can replicate that en masse, does it risk suppressing human creativity? Over time, if the internet becomes flooded with AI-generated content, wouldn’t it make it harder for high-quality human-made content to stand out—essentially a "bad money drives out good money" scenario? On the other hand, if the core value lies in facilitating better buying decisions and connecting great products with the right buyers, this could create a healthier market ecosystem. I wonder if we might see features that enhance visibility for high-quality transactions or connections, fostering a more positive and balanced marketplace. Would love to hear your perspective on this!

@timliao Appreciate the comment. The primary use-case and value proposition is for bloggers and influencers who want to share products with their existing audiences but don't have the time to research and write about them. Creators can edit a Roundup and add their personal touch too. Building community around this content within Roundups is not a goal for us but making it easy for people to pipe this content into channels where readers already live is, and for a Roundups user our goal is to help them turn content into commerce. Imagine a home renovation influencer on Instagram saying "See link in bio" and there is link to a Roundup with insights and editorial on their favorite power tools and then a CTA to buy now on Amazon

It's a great tool for shopping-focused content creators. I think you could consider using AI to generate this type of video content. It seems like these videos could be shared across more social media platforms to attract more attention and drive purchases.

@zhiqi_shi It's a great suggestion, and we have totally been thinking through "Video Roundups". Stay tuned

I like the idea of your website. The affiliate marketing economy is growing everyday as it is one of the best ways for channels owners to monetize. and with its growth competition became harder too which makes your website a necessity for channel owners to sell more effectively and identify products they can sell with less time and effort.
