Hi Product Hunt Community! I'm Corey, a two-time entrepreneur and in love with Indie Hacking. I love Slack, but I find the notifications distracting and a bit annoying. They also suck up a lot of team time and mental bandwidth. That's why I built Regarding, a Slack addon that lets you send silent messages to your team in DMs and Channels so you don't get the Slack popups and you can read them on your schedule and get more work done. Messages are automatically categorized for you into FYIs, Questions, and ToDos, making it really fast and easy to respond. And when used in channels, you don't have to sift through the entire conversation. Once a question or to do is answered in a channel, it's deleted from everyone's Regarding inbox and you can post the response back to the channel so people only need to see what's been done or answered. Here's how I came up with the idea: I used to work for a large telco in Toronto. My boss complained that he was getting too many emails (this was back before Slack and Teams were really a thing), so I started putting [FYI], [Please advise], and [Action required] into the subject lines of emails that I sent him. He really found it helpful. That was the inspiration for creating Regarding for Slack. That's why messages are automatically categorized for you in your Regarding Slack inbox. Regarding for Slack is totally free, no catch. What I'm looking for in exchange is your feedback. In time, I will be charging for the app, but for now it's totally free with no strings attached. While this is my first launch on Product Hunt, it's not the first time I've been an entrepreneur. My first product (Instant Housecall), was founded in 2007 and is still running to this day. I hope Regarding lasts just as long, and with your help and feedback, it just might! :)
