Have your Reddit profile analyzed for posts and comments and fed into LLMs (like ChatGPT) for a playful roast of your personality as well as clever insights about your how you appear online.
Hey all, James here...
Reddit is a place where we sometimes go to ask questions, discuss ideas and form communities. But have you ever wondered what your "Reddit persona" really is?
Inspired by similar tools online, I wondered what AI would think of mine and my friends Reddit personalities and see if I could get it to generate a playful roast to share with my friends.
Using LLMs (like ChatGPT), I was able to feed all kinds of data about my Reddit profile in order to generate an insightful summary of my personality traits, but also create a playful roast!
I wrapped all of that into a straightforward and simple tool ready for you all to use! Just plug away your Reddit username and sit back and be ready to be roasted! 🍿🍿🍿
@james_joffe As a seasoned Reddit player with a karma of 20k, I tested it right away and shared it with my Reddit circle—haha! I find it super interesting. The AI roasted me as a man whose emotions are sometimes empty and sometimes richly varied. Haha!
@james_joffe this is brilliant! Finally, a tool that confirms what we all secretly knew—my Reddit persona is just a slightly more sarcastic version of myself with way too many cat memes. Can't wait to see which of my questionable late-night comments comes back to haunt me. Time to grab some popcorn and let the roasting begin! 🍿🔥
This is an awesome idea, @james_joffe ! I’ve already shared it with my friend group , we’re all Reddit users, so this is going to be a lot of fun! By the way, what gave you the idea to make this tool?
Hey - super fun tool, my friends and coworkers dig it! Though Reddit is supposed to be an anonymous social network, so the recent roasts feature definitely doesn't fish that culture. Friends are worried about using it since their username will be on the main page. Too easy to send the link to someone, wait for them to type in their username and send you the roast, then you just have a handful of profiles to look through. Seriously consider removing that feature or delaying and randomizing the profiles.
