Hey Product Hunt!
In March 2020 I lost my weekly gig hosting trivia at a local brewery because of Covid-19.
Sitting at home and missing that social interaction, I decided to build a basic program to host virtual trivia for my friends and family. It was simply a bunch of inputs for players to submit answers, and a place for us (@csnewsch and I) to score answers as they came in.
It worked, but needed more attention than I cared to exert, so it sat idle for months.
Fast forward to February 2021. We were asked to dust off our hosting outfits and reboot the program for a virtual baby shower. The people still loved it! They wanted more.
So here we are, three weeks later. Quizanteam has been rebuilt and is ready to help any and all have a little more fun from home.
We’re already seeing people stumble upon the app and create games of their own. Nothing more fun than that.
We’ve added a promo code for you guys to try out our highest paid tier for free! Get it on iOS, Android, or the web and use the promo code to be the star of your next virtual hangout.
Fun Fact #1 — playing trivia gives me anxiety hence the extreme measures I take to only host.
Fun Fact #2 — the name was originally Quizantine, Apple rejected that name.
Fun Fact #3 — Tim Cook, Elon Musk, Cardi B and the rest of the squad haven’t actually played yet (see the third pic above), but I’m sure they will soon.
Thanks for taking the time to check Quizanteam out. Let me know if you have any questions or feedback!
