While user research talent is growing, most customer research is still conducted by untrained product teams, or not at all. Qualia gives product teams the tools to conduct customer research, without prior experience.

Customer research tools are typically built to help user researchers do better research (Dovetail, EnjoyHQ, Condens, Userbit etc.,).
Incidentally, we believe that customer research largely isn't led by user researchers at all, but rather by product teams and founders with relatively low experience, and little time to learn how to do it right. We've heard that for this cohort, that existing tools 'aren't for them', can be intimidating, and are built on assumed knowledge.
We aim to empower founders and product teams to execute and lead research with confidence, without needing prior experience. Also, to give overburdened user research experts the tools to advocate and scale their impact. You could say we are attempting to do for customer research, what Canva has done for graphic design.
We believe we have brutally simplified the end-to-end research process, with an initial focus on customer interviews, and are currently exploring the value of features like guided research strategy, automated recruitment, video upload, transcription, tagging, reporting, all supported by inline coaching and resources, in closed testing.
And of course, big plans beyond the above 🚀👋🏻
