Pushscroll makes you exercise (Pushups or Squats, etc.) before you're allowed to open certain apps like TikTok, Instagram, X, etc. Our goal is to replace the unhealthy habit of compulsive phone usage with a healthy habit of exercising.
We've built this app because we've struggled with doomscrolling addiction ourselves, and we know how important it is to replace a bad habit with a good one like fitness, and have had personal success with that too, therefore we think that our product can really change lives for the better by replacing doomscrolling, with fitness.
What's different about our product, is that it will be heavily community driven, with the main goal of quitting this addiction. In the future we will add virtual personal trainers, and live group exercises. We want to become the "Duolingo for fitness", by heavily gamifying our app.
@olivia_johnston1 we're using AI to detect pushups done on your camera. No video is sent outside your device - everything is processed locally. But I'd ask you to try out the app and let me know if you like it!
This is brilliant. I’ve tried setting screen time limits and using app blockers but combining usage with movement might actually work for me. I love the psychology behind this approach.
How do you check or confirm if a pushup or squat was actually done? Are you using the camera, sensors or something else entirely?

@harper_young the best way to stop scrolling is to do something else! What other app blockers did you try?
