Pernell is your second number, powered by AI. It automatically transcribes, summarizes, and pulls key action items from every call. Miss a call? No problem. Pernell's AI receptionist answers for you. Way better than voicemail.
Hey everyone, super excited to finally launch Pernell.ai for iOS 🎉! We built Pernell because handling phone calls shouldn’t be this stressful. Whether you’re juggling a business, a side hustle, or just don’t want to miss important calls, Pernell acts like your AI-powered second phone.
With Pernell, you get:
• ☎️ A second phone number with AI built in
• 🧠 Instant call transcripts + summaries
• 💡 Key action items and follow-ups from every single phone call
• ✨ Missed calls handled by an intelligent AI receptionist
We’re live and onboarding early users now — would love your feedback, questions, or support!
allow an area code directory on signup when picking a number
allow number shuffling for a given area code
allow number porting
these are easy ways to get "effort debt lock in"
also instead of 662 - use user IP to get closest area code match to start there imo
$19.99/month a little steep but i can see why you have to go this way to do bake in TTS and STT costs but keep it simple for the user to understand.
advancing thru signup with the microphone access and push notification permissions requires two extra steps - definitely auto-advance user after they accept permissions
finally, definitely worth pulling up phone number selection prior to signing up (picking a phone number is like picking a domain name - once someone finds one they are more likely to sign up rather than wondering what's behind the door)
@niyogi Hi Roj, thank you so much for the feedback! Yes, we definitely want to polish the number selection section during onboarding to make it more seamless and intuitive. Will take these into consideration!

Great idea, I downloaded the app right away, but no matter how I try to sign in with my email, it doesn't work. I don't know what the problem is

@hi_caicai could you describe the problem in more detail? Were you able to sign in with google or apple?
@chaneeepark I can log in with Apple or Google, but when I try to log in with my email address, clicking the button doesn't do anything
