What is Nappr?
Nappr is like Airbnb, but for hourly on-demand napping (not multi-day lodging) and it is changing how people rest on the go. We provide a vast marketplace that people can use to find and book nap spaces from wherever they are, whenever they want to and at the venues of their choice, which can either be hotels or other businesses.Why?
The idea for this was born when I was battling a bad bout of insomnia that was really hampering my day to day as a Software Engineer. I started drinking a lot more caffeine to compensate for all of the lost sleep, but I quickly realized that this was only a short-term workaround that quickly led to burnout. My overall production wasn't any higher because of it either. After researching some alternative options, I came across several studies that showed how beneficial napping could be and I instantly became hooked. It made me determined to make this practice affordable and accessible to anybody who needed it, and to give people a healthier option than chugging coffee and energy drinks all day. 🎉 Everyone! But these specific use cases come to mind: 💊👨⚕️ Medical Workers, either during or after their shifts. Our research uncovered that many doctors and nurses get into car accidents while driving home tired. ✈️🧳 Airport Layover Travelers who are exhausted from jet lag and don't want to pay for a full night's rate at a hotel in between flights. 🧑🎓 Commuter Students who are cramming for a brutal exam and are too far from their places of residence to go home. 🧑💼 Office Workers who are in the middle of a brutal day and simply need a break. 😴😫 Anybody else who is exhausted and/or needs some respite. This could be somebody visiting friends/family at a hospital, a conference attendee who needs a break from all the networking mayhem, or maybe even someone who just wants to get a quick meditation session in.
