What do you think? …

David Everett
Hello! I’ve always been a runner, but consistently getting out the door is a challenge. Despite that, I’ve found success. Last fall, I finished in the top 1% of the NYC Marathon. Yet, I knew if I would have been more disciplined, I could have done even better. This is the opposite of what I find most beautiful about running - proving that you are capable of more than you think you are. You just have to put the work in. I built MyTrainingPlan to help me, and others, do just that. How? - Make a plan. Connect to Strava and create an AI generated training plan. Things come up though so edit the plan as you go. - Compete against yourself by comparing training to a previous race - Gain confidence by seeing the total miles you’ve put in - Get excited for the race day with a countdown and pace calculators I’ve gotten so much out of running and I hope to help others do the same. If you have a race you’re training for I’d greatly appreciate any feedback. Best of luck!

@david_everett Congrats on your launch day! Wishing you great success and new opportunities. What challenges did you overcome to get here?
David Everett
@kjosephabraham Good question! I'd say the biggest challenge has been overcoming fear. I wanted to major in computer science but was too scared I wasn't smart enough. After working with software engineers as a product manager, some amazing coworkers helped me get over my fear and I learned to code. After that, it was fear I couldn't come up with a good idea on my own. Lately it's been the fear or putting myself out there. Each time I do what I'm afraid of I seem to find something new. Getting to this point has been incredibly rewarding to say the least.

Ooooh this is interesting, I've just started training for a half marathon, would that be helpful to me?
David Everett
@paulinahryniewicz Good luck! Is this your first one? And yeah - I think it's most helpful for people training for marathons & half marathons where you have to stay motivated for a good amount of time.
Paulina Hryniewicz
@david_everett Awesome, I'll try it. And yes, first time! I did 10km in Paris in March and aiming for 21km in Sicily this October 🤞🏻

Congrats on the launch! The ability to compete against your previous training sounds really motivating. How does the AI adjust the training plans if you miss a few days or have to make significant changes?
David Everett
@kyrylosilin Right now, you just generate a training plan at the start and manually adjust from there. I like the idea of having it readjust automatically though as you go along!
