MyGear is a social networking platform focused on discovering, sharing, and recommending sports equipment. The platform is for anyone who engages in kit-intensive sports, such as skiing, snowboarding and tennis.
Buying technical sports gear is painful. Googling is noisy, with lots of fake or untrustworthy reviews, and time consuming. Doing the “ring around” to gather recommendations from friends is laborious.
We are MyGear. MyGear is a social media platform where people can share, discover and track all the technical sports gear that they use to level up their adventures. MyGear solves this problem by providing:
- A platform for connecting with other sports enthusiasts and getting insight on the gear that they use
- Trustworthy gear reviews through social validation and AI algorithms that weight scores according to levels of validation
- Tailored recommendations based on their existing gear and experience and a shopping experience to match
We are a team of serial founders who are also domain experts in our chosen verticals, such as skiing, tennis, skydiving and e-gaming. We have all experienced the pain in purchasing technical gear.

Okay, this looks very good. I like your app interface as well as the list of features included inside it, but I have a question.
As a user and an active skier, why would I be posting any videos or photos from my trips on your app, when I can do that on other social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook (I use a few others but these are the main in my opinion).
What is the advantage that a user would receive by interacting with his profile and regular posting on MyGear instead of another, bigger social media platforms?
Congratulations on the launch!
@login_pejkovski Thanks for your question. The main advantage is that you can tag all the gear you use on your trips and use the platform to keep track of how your gear is performing. You can also track the gear from other users, add gear to your locker that you're interested in buying and, when the time is right, you can purchase new gear directly from the app!
An innovative idea which has been executed really well. I've bought a new padel racket after seeing a recommendation on MyGear and look forward to sharing my equipment with friends in the future.
This is a great way to get the best gear without having to wade through the usual sites 'recommending' stuff they have been paid to promote. I can have trust in what I am buying when my friends or professionals are recommending it.
