@jonnymiles I don’t see any issue with entering my credit card to try a product, as long as the company has the necessary policies to protect customer data. If you're concerned about getting charged after the free trial, just set a reminder in your calendar. You’re testing new apps on iOS or Android, right? I’ve never seen an option to try something without a credit card.

@alina_sprengele its not an absolute dealbreaker but I try 10+ products a day, so I'm glad not all of them require me to enter my credit card and set a calendar event to not get charged for them just to have a look, but you can do that if you like! On the app store, apple already have your payment details, and you can always cancel as soon as you start the trial in your phone subscriptions page, so its a consistent low risk experience. It's not a fair comparison to web.
