What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an emerging standard that enables AI tools to interact with external data sources, like an API for LLMs. MCP servers act as intermediaries, providing structured data to AI applications.
Why build a registry?
Right now, it’s hard to find reliable servers and explore what’s possible because the MCP ecosystem is so fragmented. mcpt offers a curated registry with official and up-to-date servers, making it easier to experiment with new technology.
