Midinote try to solve this question: how do I take notes when I still don't know which category it belongs to, also, midinote lets you can visualize your notes in a mindmap-like view, and browse your knowledge in a Wikipedia-like approach.
Hi guys, the story about Midinote, is that, when I was a deep user of Evernote, I was always struggling with this question: where should I put the notes that I am writing?
The answer turns out to be the Midinote.
There aren't concepts like folder or notebook in Midinote, just simply type down the things in your mind, and tag the content as possible as you can.
For example, when you first time reading things about 'Google', you might still have no idea what it is.
You simply wrote something like this:
"People are talking about #Google, seems like it is a good tool online. "
With time, you tried Google:
"#Google is fantastic, I can use it to find things I want"
And now you know more about what it is, Midinote allow you to 'define' it:
"#Google is a #SearchEngine"
By doing this, you sorted Google into #SearchEngin.
This is the way Midinote works, by doing so, you sort your stuff after taking your notes, this is different from traditional note app, in which we choose the folder for the note before we write it.
And then your knowledge keeps growing:
"I don't think #Bing is as good as #Google"
You define Bing:
"#Bing is another #SearchEngine"
By doing this, you created a mindmap for SearchEngine in Midinote.
This is the beta version of Midinote, I really want to hear from you, thanks!
@anna_0x The only function of server side is to backup your data, so you want a stand-alone desktop version? The plan is to develop both desktop and mobile version, so data get synced between them, the server side do not touch the data, even for search.
@dadior_chen since there's no mobile app yet, data doesn't get synced so I'd personally much rather skip creating yet another account to try out a new note taking app.
@anna_0x yes, I can understand, another thing I want to bring up is that Midinote also support web app version, that means, you don't need to install it on your machine, you can open it in the browser directly, in this sense, we need an account to login
