Like most people from the startup world, I have always been struggling with day-to-day overwork that caused emotional burnouts and a mess in my head. Every day I was noticing how stress, irritability, and anger influenced my productivity and life quality.
I have been searching for some "mental health framework" that can be applied to track my pain points and help control myself when negative emotions kicked in. After doing some research and consulting with various specialists, I discovered CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). The whole CBT idea is aimed towards changing human's attitudes and behavior by analyzing and tracking their emotions, thoughts, images, and beliefs.
That is what inspired me to create the Mental Mirror with the straightforward name 🙂
The app helps you to look at your "mental self" at any time and understand the most crucial mental states, triggers, and build your control strategy. All this is done by taking small 2-3 minute reflection sessions and focusing on yourself for this short time frame.
