Maker Stations is a publication dedicated to inspirational home offices and mindful living. We curate beautiful & functional home office setups from makers around the world.
Hello, friends 👋
I’m Ilya, a visual designer and a co-founder of Maker Stations based in sunny Leith, Edinburgh 🏴
I love WFH. Offices can be fun in their way, but I always struggled to focus in a noisy, open environment. That (and a famous virus thing that made us stuck at our homes) prompted me to look for some desk inspiration.
I had a blast browsing home office setups & battle stations on Reddit, but… I always wanted to learn more about the insights and the makers behind them. Pictures just weren’t enough.
This frustration led me to launch Maker Stations (using an incredibly fast Ghost platform!), a blog dedicated to home offices and mindful living: www.makerstations.io 🏠👨💻
We curate beautiful & functional home office setups from makers around the globe, and, most importantly, feature stories of people behind them🎙️
I run Maker Stations together with my partner in crime @elenailford (she’s an amazing editor and hopeless introvert). We hope our blog will inspire you to upgrade your home office, build one from scratch or flick through the setups and look at the photos from those who did.
We’d appreciate it if you could spread the word about our blog with whoever might find it useful: friends, colleagues or fellow makers 👊
Get updates on Twitter, Instagram and consider subscribing to our weekly newsletter.
Now, let’s go and make something happen!
Cheers,
Ilya
@elenailford@ilyailford this is sooo amazing! Humans have an innate ability to make each space his/her own. Even as we work remotely, a customized work-station gives a sense of belonging and purpose to what we do.
Sharing some love from my team-mate @hereisnaman's Maker Station :)
@elenailford@hereisnaman@adityavsc Thank you for your support 🖤 Exactly. A maker station is a reflection of one's interests, passions and of course a sense of style. Love that toy in the background, by the way – would love to hear about it!
What a wonderful idea! I always find inspiration in other people’s stories and this project looks very promising. Congratulations! (goes to read all the articles)
