Lucentsave is a simple website for saving and organizing the things you want to read. It's a lot like Pocket or Instapaper, except faster, cleaner, and completely free. Supports search and highlighting in saved pages. Extensions Firefox and Chrome available.

What do you think? …

Hi! I made Lucentsave as a side project for my own use: I read a lot of blog posts and I wanted to have them in one place, so that I can easily find that one relevant article when arguing with my friends. I could have used Pocket, but it paywalls some of its features and is more complicated than necessary. So I created Lucentsave as a simpler, free alternative. Lucentsave allows you to: - Save pages for easy later reading - Make unlimited highlights in saved pages - Search through the text of all saved pages If you think this sounds interesting, I hope you give Lucentsave a try. It's completely free, and I'm sharing it in the hopes that other people also find it useful. Also check out the browser extensions, available for Chrome (https://chrome.google.com/websto...) and Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/addon...). These allow you to quickly save the page you're currently reading. You can view the (not very pretty) code at https://github.com/fplonka/lucen.... The frontend is built with SvelteKit and TailwindCSS, while the backend is Go and PostgreSQL.

💡 Bright idea
looks interesting. would be nice to have some more info on the website before you sign up. but as for the launch stage that might be fine if you were focused on product features first 👍

Yes, I think you're right. The trade-off between minimalism and informativeness is always tricky, but some kind of preview could be really useful.

I love this! I like that the browser plugin lets me just click once, and done. I like that the reading list is super simple and clean. This is awesome!
