I’m Thomas, a physiotherapist based in Australia. After countless times measuring my patients' joint angles with a goniometer or estimating through observation, I wanted to develop a better way to help my fellow clinicians record their patient's objective measurements.
This is why I decided to build Joint Angels, a tool to measure joint range of motion and analyze movement efficiently.

Traditionally for the vast majority of cases, clinicians would just base their patients' joint angles on observation (this comes with a margin of error) or use a goniometer to measure joint angles (this also comes with clinician error) and then document that in their clinical notes.
Joint angles aim to standardize the measuring process and also eliminate the time it takes to document these outcome measures. With clinicians seeing 10+ patients every day for 5 days a week I believe this can help offload a fair bit of work for clinicians.
In the future, I can definitely see integrating more advanced features such as analytics for changes in range of motion over time i.e. a patient's recovery after a total knee replacement. Another big productivity boost and help with clinical reasoning.
