I have built many resumes with this site for many different positions. After I was overlooked and not even interviewed for job postings that I was a perfect fit for, I had one of their resumes assessed. It came back reportedly missing information that was deffintly provided. It is not ATS-friendly.

Hi Jonna, We're very sorry for your experience, and thank you for sharing it with us. We want to note that a perfect job criteria match doesn't guarantee a job interview. For example, if the job postings were popular, companies might have already sourced enough suitable candidates with the required or better qualifications. If there is missing information in the job application form, most Applicant Tracking systems alert candidates and don't allow them to finish it. Companies usually don't "automatically" reject candidates since hiring managers have to follow fair recruiting standards and read the attached resumes to make a final decision. Over the years, we have gathered deep knowledge of how different Applicant Tracking Systems work and have personally tested various parsing techniques used by major ATS solutions. All our resume templates labeled with the "ATS-friendly" badge follow specific formatting rules to achieve necessary machine readability. However, we can't possibly guarantee that every piece of software we don't control out there will work as supposed to – there might be some legacy ATS systems or generally bad text parsing implementations. So, if there's an ATS platform that might parse resumes incorrectly, we'd love to find out about it and improve our recommendations. Do you maybe remember the name of the ATS you used to asses your resume parsing to make your conclusion? Also, which resume template you used? That would be super helpful to make life easier for other job seekers!
