Image Computer makes it super easy to generate AI images. Just describe the image you want, and our AI will create the images for you within seconds. Pricing is simple. 1 credit = 1 image. No subscriptions or hidden fees.
Last week I was trying to help a friend set up Stable Diffusion (open source tool to generate AI computers) on her computer. It was a very complicated process and when we finally finished it, it took about 20 minutes to generate a simple image on her new M2 laptop.
That's when I challenged myself to build a simple web app she could use instead. We got a food delivery scheduled to arrive in about 45 minutes, so that's the time I gave myself to finish the first protoype.
Just after I deployed it, the doorbell rang and the food arrived! I made it just in time 😅
Here's what that first prototype looked like:
I wouldn't be a maker if I then didn't want to continue working on it turning it into an actual product with user registration, etc. So that's what I built over the last few days.
Now exactly one week later, I'm ready to share it with you!
You can try it here: https://image.computer
You'll get a bunch of free credits to play around with it. Once you run out you can buy them with a single payment. No annoying subscriptions or hidden fees.
Here's what it looks like today:
Please let me know what you think and how I can improve it!
P.S.
The first 50 people to use coupon code PRODUCTHUNT50 when buying credits ( http://image.computer/pricing ) get 50% off.
Congrats on the launch @marckohlbrugge. Do you have any features planned to differentiate it from competitors in the space? I tested this out for you and will say that it was super fast to generate images as well. Must faster than Dall-E.
@chadwilken Hi Chad. Yes, this version is really just a starting point. I'll probably move into different niches and optimize the prompt builder for that. So for example I might build a similar site targeted specifically at interior designers and have the images optimized for that.
they're so many apps like this now. how r u going to stand out? also, i suggest there should b google sign in button. sone free trial before signing up would be great. captcha can protect robots in that case. congratulations on the launch n keep up the good work u
@naveed_rehman I didn't like the UX of the other apps I tried. They all seemed rather complicated. So that's how I plan to stand out. Make it a more user-friendly alternative targeted towards regular, non-technical people. I'll probably end up specializing the app for a particular vertical, although I haven't decided yet which one. The idea right now is just to see how people use it, what type of users are willing to pay, and then iterate based on that.
You could a get couple of free credits on sign up so you can play around it with.
And adding Google Sign in is something I'm definitely considering. I decided against adding it due to time constraints (my goal was to launch within 7 days of starting the project). But I'll be expanding on these types of features next.
Thanks again!
