I'm using Glip at work as internal messaging app, it's simple yet powerfull to discuss 1to1 and 1toMany conversation and share any kind of information and documents.
I just signed up today for GLIP free. It is very nice looking and easy to use.
I have used RC App in the past, and this is very similar, with lots of great features.
