Import Flaticon icons to your designs directly from Figma. The Flaticon plugin brings millions of vector icons right to your canvas, with features and options for the smoothest designer experience.
You got me at the 'Component' feature, i really think that is a good thing to have. Also, like the filtering system for your search. This would be a cool plugin to have. It would be awesome if it could be attached somehow to the components' properties (quicker to use), but that's something that Figma needs to figure out.
Keep it up 💪.
Hola Producthunters 👋
Martin Durhuus here, the developer of this plugin.
I’m really excited to announce this plugin for Figma that brings millions of icons from Flaticon straight into your design workflow. We put in a lot of effort to bridge the gap between downloading, importing icons to the canvas, and changing them “on the go.” The end result is this plugin that allows you to keep designing and maintain your focus without any distractions.
Here are some details:
🎁 Free PNGs
All icons are available for free in PNG format. You can access SVGs with Flaticon or Freepik Premium subscription.
🤌 Clean UI
You should focus on your design, not ours. That’s why we made sure to keep the plugin’s interface in neutral colors, with a simple look, that is organised, and features that are easy to use.
🔍 Supa-fast search
It is seriously fast. You get bonus points if you find out what animation the plugin is showing while the results are loading.
🛠️ Filters for consistency
We love all shapes and colors, but for the sake of consistency, some icons can’t sit with others. With the plugin filters, you can find matching icons faster.
❖ Import as components
To ease up your design system creation you can import icons directly as components. You can also swap the icon within the component for a new one on click if you want to change it.
It's been a true joy to work on this plugin. We tested, researched, and listened to Flaticon users and then developed features that would speed up design processes but are simple and easy to use at the same time.
Our mantra was and is KISS (Keep it simple, stupid.) and so with @martin_durhuus we really focused on the simplicity and smoothness of the UX and UI.
For me personally, it's like a baby since it's the first UI I designed completely by myself, so I'm stoked to hear your impressions.
