FindTech.Jobs helps you find tech jobs that match your work preferences and preferred tech stack. Thanks to structured and reviewed data we make the tech job search more transparent and reliable.
Hey hunters and makers 👋
John and Tom here, co-founders of FindTech.Jobs – a niche tech job board making the job search more transparent and reliable.
We started with the development of FTJ earlier this year when the folks at Stack Overflow announced the ending of SO Jobs & Developer Story. Today, six months later we’re finally ready for our first ever launch on Product Hunt. Excited, but also a bit anxious to make this happen!
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 💡
When we were looking for new opportunities, we were extremely underwhelmed with the experience: Unclear job descriptions and no answers to the questions that actually matter – what tech stack is used? What’s the remote policy like? … and what does ‘competitive pay’ actually mean?
We yearned for a higher standard that we’ve come to expect from using great platforms like Stack Overflow Jobs. Something providing structure, high-quality data, and a great design, making it easy to compare all opportunities out there. It didn’t exist so we built our own.
Our goal is to make FindTech.Jobs the most reliable source for Europe-based tech jobs. This goes beyond just building a great job board. It includes a commitment to providing the education, community, and support developers need to land the job that matches them best.
𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 🔥
We believe FTJ is a more ‘dev friendly’ alternative to the average job board. Let’s uncover what it has to offer:
• Exclusive Europe-based tech jobs, not just scraped listings from the web
• Filter by dev area, (remote) location, salary, company type, and – of course – your tech stack (including unwanted technologies)
• Comprehensible match score (0 to 100) that is based on structured and reviewed data
• 200+ easy to skim job postings (and many more added weekly) including no-bullshit job descriptions and structured data for benefits, salary, vacation days, etc.
• High degree of transparency when it comes to benefits, salary information, and paid vacation days
• 100% free for job seekers – Application links are available for everyone (So no signup required)
→ Hiring? ✅ We grant a free plan (valid for 3 months and unlimited job postings) to any employer who signs up and posts at least one job during our launch period.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 🚀
Over the next 3 months we plan to steer our development efforts towards giving job seekers a more holistic view on the company they’re applying to – with company pages covering details on the stack stack, future co-workers, and the company’s software development process. When it comes to growth we’re also revamping our SEO strategy and prepping expansion to even more European countries to get more tech-driven companies on board.
We’ve been working hard for the last 6+ months, and we’re genuinely interested in hearing what you think about our job board so far.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, we’re all ears. ✌
Congratulations on the launch! Given that there are heaps of job portals nowadays, it will be a bit challenging to promote this FTJ. I wish you good luck and success. Upvoted
Thank you Naveed! 👨🏻💻
You definitely have a point and we see the challenge, too. However, as a developer, I know how frustrating it is to search for a job on the well-known job boards.
You hear and read about the struggles over and over again and even though there are new boards all the time - nothing changes. All the job boards that have been launched recently are mostly just plain lists of new jobs or only offer keyword search. Not to mention the data quality.
Hopefully we will be able to gain a wider reach and really make a difference for job seekers 🤞🏻 @naveed_rehman
