Hi Hunters! 👋 Thrilled to make a debut on Product Hunt and to introduce the Fair Share Calculator to you! As a couple with different incomes, we struggled to split expenses fairly. Our solution? Initially, a Google Sheet. But, it was clunky, especially on mobile when we needed it most. As a UX designer, I saw an opportunity to dip my toes in to development and cobble together something better - thus, the Fair Share Calculator was born! It's super simple, just input both your salaries (if you're comfortable with that), add an expense and hit Calculate. It then quickly determines how much each of you should contribute to the expense, proportionally based on your individual salaries. ⚖️ We hope that at least one other couple find it as useful as we do, or at least it gets the conversation moving in the right direction toward financial harmony for you. Thank you from Edward and Sarah

Very cool idea! I could also imagine using this for dinner dates with my friends - it would prevent that awkward situation of "Who pays today? Who paid last time?" 🌈
