First a big THANK YOU to everyone who has kindly sent us reviews or DMs to help us improve Empty. 🥳
Whether you were just looking at our designs, trying fasting for the first time, or switching from another app, your feedback has been so crucial in helping us choose the right features to prioritize and uncover bugs.
Rafael (https://x.com/rarfell) and I have been trying to make as much progress as possible on Empty since we first launched and are excited to share this release with a lot of major improvements. In Empty 2.0 we've added:
- Badges and visualizations on the profile screen
- Time intervals so you can better compare your recent vs all-time stats
- A new lock screen widget
- Ramadan mode (for automatic scheduling during the holy month)
- New live activity designs for the lock screen and dynamic island
- New widget designs
- New illustrations scattered throughout onboarding and the rest of the app (shoutout to our friend Hannah Lee!)
Of course, we've kept the same simple flow that you know and love Empty for. No extra bulk. Just extra fun :)
We really hope you enjoy the update, and please share feedback if you have any thoughts or questions.
Raffi
@raffichill Congratulations on the launch of Empty 2.0! The new features sound fantastic, especially the Ramadan mode and the updated designs. Keep up the great work!
@raffichill congrats on the launch, raffi! love the new features, especially the ramadan mode and lock screen widgets. just upvoted—looking forward to trying it out.
@busmark_w_nika Yes, absolutely! Just to clarify, that kind of game is intended for "healthy individuals" without any eating disorders...it's meant to be a fun addition to the app.
@busmark_w_nika@mitia 💯💯💯 I think the trickier part is actually building the social graph/features vs. prioritizing other high demand things that our current users are asking for. I feel like there's still a lot more to improve on the single player experience despite how far it has already come.
I think this is the best app on the App Store 🤯
This is a must have for anyone who does intermittent fasting
I’m using it for nearly a year, and this is literally a life-changing app.
The app is narrowed down to the essentials, yet it's full of details: the mono font, haptic feedback, beautiful widgets... The straightforward onboarding and the absence of any growth gimmick makes it a gem.
It's been fun to follow along as Raffi and Rafael shared their progress on Twitter, highlighting their thoughtful approach to building Empty.
The beautifully minimalistic app offers a unique, playful approach to customization unlike anything I've encountered in other apps. 👏
