The instructions confused me. When I thought I had figured it out, it was cumbersome. Just now, I went back to use what I had created yesterday. It was all gone.
I'm Luke, an emergency room doctor and creator of Dekki. I'm super passionate about medical education and spaced repetition, which is a learning technique that boosts memory retention by reviewing information at optimized intervals (popularized by the open-source app Anki).
I wanted a more streamlined way of creating and studying flashcards using this methodology. So, together with my best friend and co-founder, Marawan, we created Dekki!
Dekki uses AI to generate flashcards from any source material, and then allows you to study these cards using its spaced repetition reviewer. You can also share cards with the Dekki community and easily add premade decks to study for yourself. We've now got an iOS app for you to study on the go, or you can choose to export your cards to study on Anki.

So exciting to see Dekki launch on PH! Your product is amazing, I used it for learning Spanish & my gf is now using it in Med School for all her classes! The design is so clean and super easy to use - easy to dive in without feeling intimidated. The spaced repetition algorithm is incredible—it helps you remember things without feeling overwhelmed. It’s seriously helped me learn faster and I'm sticking with it! The new app also makes it great to learn on the go - thanks for your great work on this!!

We're currently working on an Android app, and have just released a new Chrome extension for language learners. It automatically tracks captions on streaming services like Netflix and generates flashcards for you in your desired language.
