Hello Product Hunters!
Thank you @5harath for being the hunting today 🙏
A while back I submitted a form on some website and they showed me a confetti - it made me feel good.
But to see more, I'd have to keep re-submitting that form which is not a sustainable and long term solution, right?
So... as a developer, I took to the keyboard and built ConfettiTherapy.com so I can have all the UNLIMITED & FREE confetti I want with very little effort 🎉
After I announced it on X, it BLEW UP, thousands of people went to it and started popping confettis all around the world 🌍
Confetti Therapy received HUNDREDS of positive comments on how it makes people feel better and so on, some highlights:
"I love it"
"Oddly satisfying"
"Satisfying"
"Can't stop playing with this"
"Nice"
"You're crazy, well shipped"
"Highly therapising process 10/10 would recommend!"
"10/10 Internet"
"Popped a few.. I feel happy now"
"Gosh darn it. I feel better now."
"Good app to end the day"
"My work progress is wrecked from now on"
"I will make it my routine to pop these at the end of each work day"
... and more!
What more, I happen to have left an "Advertise here" Stripe link on the site and the site got moentized within a few hours ($25), second sponsorship already sold out now by pre-order 🤯
I've never seen that coming.
From a personal point, it was a great example to learn more about React / Next.js and generating static sites with it deployed to Cloudflare Pages (indestructible, rock solid hosting at $0/mo forever)
Hope you find it useful and helps you relax too - I find it the most effective in the evening after the long day is over - in the morning it doesn't seem to have the same effect on me... how about you?
Let me know if you try it and how many confettis you managed to pop.
(there was even an Inc500 entrepreneur who said he popped more than 1 million)
Any and all feedback very very welcome.
Future? Sounds, more relaxing tools, customizations are on the todo list, soon it'll also have native mobile apps,
Stay tuned for updates, best place is to follow me for updates on X: https://x.com/ThePeterMick
Thank you,
Peter
@thepetermick did not expect to spent 15 minutes on this but utterly loved it. If it had a music in the bg then it would be even better. I am sure team must have thought of this.
It was surreal, reminded me of the movie Kingsman: Secret Service where there was a scene towards the end with all the villian's head getting popped like a confetti.
Overall loved the confetti therapy, will suggest to few more folks
@prad_vv thank you Pradhumm, sounds and many more relaxation tools are on the roadmap, stay tuned for more and thank you for popping! A pop a day keeps the doctor away :D
