Hi, I and my friend Furkan have developed a simple product for Slack. As you may know, auto invitations for the free version of Slack is a problem. I needed a basic widget and a landing page for my slack channel so I come up with this solution Community Inviter. With CI, you can easily set up an invitation widget and a landing page to get invitations for your slack channel. You can either approve them manually or automatically. All of those features are free. You can also ask questions to applicants in the landing page. This is the part we charge $5/month. We are in public beta right now, and appreciate all of your feedbacks.

@kocdur This is like Slackpass. Right?

@rafyasarmatta yes but we don't offer payment options yet. Our main difference is that you can ask questions within the landing page :)

Funny how the universe works - just yesterday I was setting up with slackin (GitHub repo.) However, I had to create a Heroku account, set things manually and create a CName to point to a DNS record on Heroku - it's a pain. So I'm glad something like this available. Just have a few questions: 1. Are we able to use a custom domain or subdomain for the landing page? If so, does it support SSL. 2. Were you able to figure out how to get around the five+ members restrictions as to not pay for it? Is this build in or how does one go about doing that? 3. Does it also use a dedicated inviter account with admin rights and supply the token, or how does it authenticate? Love the idea, might have to switch 😊.

@erickbarron86 1. You can put our landing page in iframe and use in your own domain. We don't provide custom domains right now. 2. There are no restrictions from Community Inviter, you can invite as many people as you wish. Slack also supports unlimited users in their free tier 3. If you are the admin of the slack channel, you can authenticate by clicking "Join us with Slack" button in our site and give the required permissions. It uses your account to send the invitations

@kocdur I've run into one issue: I changed my Slack team's Team Icon after signing it up with Community Inviter, but the change isn't reflected in Community Inviter.
Baris
@barnabybones slack won't inform us about the changes that's why we miss it but we are going to create a button in the dashboard to update your logo and the name in case you change anything in slack :) This will be done late tomorrow.
