Ditch the virtual happy hours and host a poker night instead with Clubs Poker's new product --> "For Companies" ๐ Just send a link to your colleagues and start playing ๐ Add your company logo to the table and card decks ๐ Dedicated event host (optional)
Hey all - Taylor here, founder of Clubs Poker.
Today we're launching a new product, Clubs Poker - For Companies. You are now free to ditch the virtual happy hours for something much more action-packed... especially around the holidays.
Here's how it works:
๐ Just send a link to your colleagues and start playing. All the chips are "play money", too.
๐ Get your company logo on the poker table and deck of cards
๐ Dedicated account manager to coach you through best practices and the right game settings for your group
๐ [Optional] Event host with a "Poker 101" live presentation to get your colleagues up to speed quickly
So far, we've done events for companies like the SF Giants, Cushman & Wakefield, On Deck, and a handful of other startups. You can read more about our client Branch's experience here: https://blog.clubspoker.com/how-...
โฆ๏ธ Why a poker night? โ ๏ธ
1. Most people already know how to play (and if you don't, we'll teach you)
2. You can all have casual conversations while you're playing (Tobi Lรผtke calls this an "ambient game")
3. Poker strategy is actually highly relevant to the startup world (teaches you about profitable investing, quick decision-making, the variance of luck, etc)
โฃ๏ธMore about Clubs โฃ๏ธ
Think about those poker nights you've had in the past. Order pizza, drinks, stay up late, have a great time? We're re-creating that experience... online.
Our purpose is to make poker a more social experience with friends (or colleagues), and less about gambling against strangers. We're creating a dedicated space for groups of all shapes and sizes to hang out together over poker.
@mikelandsberger Thx Mike.
Yep it's all designed to be super flexible. We've got two "modes", Tournaments and cash games (play-money chips of course). Both have a bunch of settings to control the specifics of how you want to play, like the starting stack, the blinds, the timer, etc.
One of my favorite features on the whole product - if you want to set up a "Tournament", the software asks you how many players you have and how much time you want to play for. Then, it automatically calculates all the right settings to make sure the tournament ends on time. And it's remarkably accurate.
If you & your company set up an event through us, we'll talk you through all the different options and formats and make sure your poker night is set up for success.
