Chronicle has basically elevated how I present anything to my product team. My previous workflow of creating a presentation from a product document now takes 1-10th of the time as I can just add the content to the prompt and watch it create a visually striking presentation. Can't see myself going back to slides ever again.

I've dreamt of writing this message for years, and today I am excited to finally introduce Chronicle to you.
Chronicle is the Cursor for slides.
We are aware that there are a lot of presentation tools out there. And honestly, none of them hit the mark. Slide tools make you do too much work by putting the design burden on you. Meanwhile, AI tools are oversimplified and make you look like you haven’t done any work. They are not designed for serious work use cases.

We have crafted an opinionated tool that combines AI with taste → helping you deliver stunning stories effortlessly. Where writing, visual design, and interactivity come together seamlessly, freeing you from pixel-pushing so your best ideas can truly shine.
Chronicle is born out of our own a decade-long love affair with presentations. We have combined decades of storytelling experience from places like BCG, McKinsey, Apple, IDEO to ensure you can make stellar slides effortlessly.

💞 Remix - remix is a fundamentally different way of designing. Chronicle uses AI to turn your raw thoughts, bullets to a stunning, pixel perfect page. Cycle through any outputs as Chronicle perfectly designs, aligns and writes the content to fit the need.
🍱 Widgets - widgets are pre-designed interactive components that are building blocks on Chronicle. Today we are releasing a small portion of a much larger set we are working on. Tell us what is missing and we will build it.
🪭 Embeds - open a window into any of the 100s of tools you use or any part of the internet simply by pasting a link. Turn it into an interactive embed to bring it to life.

Chronicle is built for serious presentations at work - with the depth and granularity that you need while ensuring it is simple. It’s early days, and we won’t be perfect immediately (e.g. we are not optimised for mobile right now). But we are committed to iterating fast and building what matters.

Much needed product. I've been wondering if such a product exists and was reinforced of the need when Andrej Karpathy tweeted about the need for a 'Cursor for Slides' a few days back. Great timing!
Tried the product. You’ve clearly focused on good taste. How do you scale that across users without it becoming generic?

You are spot on — its a tricky thing to scale without becoming generic. And a lot of slide tools have gone down that route. We are slightly different:
1. We think our mission is not to just help you make slides fast. It is to actually make you a better presenter.
2. We are bringing decades of our own storytelling and design experience to design widgets that do an amazing job of visualising information (I believe presentations are not a visual design problem but an information design challenge)
3. We are hand crafting each remix layout right now. But soon we will let users save their templates and create a community. However, we will ensure quality of the templates that come with Chronicle (something like how Apple does quality control on apps).
4. Finally and most importantly, we have really cracked constraint vs freedom. Too much freedom = generic / bad outputs. It took us 4 resets to get this right. And lots of learnings. This is why Chronicle doesn't have unlimited shapes, colour and font choices rn (might change a bit over time).

@mindcharting such a good question! I think we try our best to provide "just enough" customization while providing a strong design foundation.
We're also introducing image generation soon, but in the meantime, will be providing curated image sets.
This coupled with our custom themes (coming soon!) will make every deck feel unique to your message and brand.

@mindcharting Just to add a bit to Mayuresh's fantastic points, your reference to Karpathy's 'Cursor for Slides' is spot on and something we talk about internally.
We see 'Cursor' as an AI collaborator for code. Our vision for Chronicle is to be that AI collaborator for thought and narrative. The constraints and information-design widgets Mayuresh mentioned are how we ensure the AI is a true partner with 'good taste,' not just a tool that generates slides. It helps structure the story, not just fill the page.
