It’s hard to stay organized when your notes get reordered whenever you edit a different one. Breveto sets itself apart from other writing apps by using a file tree that allows you to effortlessly drag and drop files into place, and they remain precisely where you put them. Organize files into nested folders and even pin essential files to the top!
Breveto comes feature-packed with an exceptional writing experience. Quickly format text with the inline menu, immerse yourself in focus mode, create your own personalized themes, use markdown shortcuts, and more. All while the cursor glides smoothly across the screen.
The built-in dictionary lets you find definitions, synonyms, and rhymes with just one click. Breveto even recommends top synonyms with AI.
Speaking of AI, Breveto lets you modify selected text in different ways with AI. Whether you are struggling to find alternative phrasing or fix the grammar problem you are stuck on. Breveto's got you covered.
Open multiple locations and store your files anywhere. Create a location in iCloud to sync your files across all your Macs with conflict-free sync, or choose a folder and keep them locally on your computer.

@eonpilot One is the unique way it handles organization. I've never liked Apple Notes and other writing apps because they reorder your files every time you edit a different one. Breveto lets you keep a mental picture of where all of your files are so you don’t lose track of them, while also letting the user control how and where they store their files. For example, you can store your files in any cloud sync service such as Dropbox.
Breveto also stands out in its editing experience, with distinctive design, aesthetics, and functionality. Breveto is definitely in its infancy, and a lot of features are not finished yet, such as entire cross-platform support, and file styles that let you change the look of your document as you edit in one click, just to name a few!
It is a lovely designed app. Would be perfect for writing, especially blog posts and editing. Except it constantly crashes, the developers do not respond to any help requests and it just fails to work. Such a shame. So promising.
