It's very simple. You just choose when you want your tweets to be automatically deleted (e.g. when they are one year old, one month old, etc.). Then you will be able to choose from a list of restraints to ensure some tweets are not deleted.
@jamie_mcgregor That's good to know. I recently sought help from a friend to wipe out my entire timeline (40k+ tweets). There are still a 1,000 odd tweets that need to be deleted, which were not deleted by this process. I have signed up for your product to see if it can do that. Unliking will be a great add on.
@amit_sarda Great! It will take a little while to delete all 1,000 tweets because of twitter's API limits.
If you check back in tomorrow, they should all be gone (let me know if not)
I'll definitely let you know if the unliking feature is added.
@jamie_mcgregor the 40k were deleted at 1 tweet/second. So I understand that it will take time. I have set up the automation and I will check back tomorrow.
The reason why I am pressing for the Unlike feature is that before bookmarks were launched, people used Likes for bookmarking tweets as well. Believe it or not, I have ~7,000 liked tweets. :)
@wilsonbright Thank you, Wilson! Yes pretty much, we definitely live in a time where things we've said online can come back to bite us. This is a way to only keep things you have explicitly stated that you would like to keep.
