Hi Hunters and Makers 👋
I recently left my six-figure software engineer job in order to figure out how to make a living building products on my own. I enjoy the full spectrum of building products (from user research to ideation to design and development). As most big corporations tend to favor specialists, I realised that focusing solely on software engineering could not keep me happy for long. The money and perks were fantastic but after the honeymoon period was over, I found myself unhappy with the 9 to 5. Plus, I love software, and I code and design a lot in my spare time. Not being able to share any of this work publicly, as a lot of big corporations prevent you from doing so, turned out to feel way too limiting for me.
This is my first Product launching as a full time maker. In order to get started with shipping products, I wanted to focus on shipping the first one within a month's time. That was done in order to motivate myself figure out how to get product ideas, deliver on time and understand the launching proccess.
As a result, Audio bites was born. 🍪 Users can upload their audio or video files, customise the colors and then a short video clip with the transcription of the audio is generated. The clips can later be shared on social media for various purposes (such as sneak peaks for upcoming podcast episodes and video series).
Visit the website and play around with it. I would love to hear your feedback about both the launch and the product itself. 💌
PS: If you are interested in what happened during the first month working as a full time maker, you can read the full story at https://alexstyl.com/First-month...
@alexstyl Congratulations on the launch and I'm so excited for your journey! Audio Bites looks like a wonderful product. Is there a way to select different fonts - maybe a choice between 4/5 fonts could be given based on the energy of the audio clip?
Thank you @adityavsc! Noted for the fonts 👍
There is currently no way of selecting a different font. I wanted to explore the idea for further customisations but I wanted to keep it super simple for the first iteration.
