We’re elementary school buddies who have known each other for 18 years and began building survey tech after going through the YC W24 batch.

For example, if a respondent answers "bad" to a product experience question, Aftercare can automatically ask, "What specific parts of the product contributed to this experience?" @justinmay@anandnanduri@chen_artisk Hey Chen! Thanks for the well wishes 🥳 We don't have a way to set a tone or language yet, but we do have 2 types of AI follow-ups -- 1) contextual follow-ups and 2) specific follow-ups.
For contextual follow-ups, you can specify any context about why you're asking the topic question + areas you want to dig in. This will guide Aftercare to generate follow-up questions up to a limit that you can set.
For specific follow-ups, you can specify a question you want to ask, and when you want it to be asked. This is useful if you can anticipate respondent's answers.

There's no direct feature to escalate conversations, but we do have a contact information block which users can include if they want the respondent's contact details to reach out and clarify after the survey has been completed.
Saw you guys recently added a 'create with AI' option to build a survey. What was the inspiration behind that new feature? I like that there are multiple ways to get started.
@davidhu Before we had the "create with AI" option, we had reached out to some early users who started building surveys but never finished. They had expected the survey to be built for them automatically after entering in a description. We figured this feature would help with activation and time-to-value, so we built it 🙂
Hey @aidanlee, the product looks really easy to set up and use! It solves the pain of making gathering product feedback easier, which is something I always want to do more of but never have time. What use cases or products do you think would get the most value out of Aftercare?
@runs Thanks! I think consumer product founders can get tons of great feedback through embedding survey in-app through a link or I frame. We've spoken to a few other founders who have placed surveys right after a user has used a specific feature or flow, and have collected thousands of responses that way.
Other use cases include eCommerce teams gathering data on their customers, event organizers getting feedback from their attendees, employee surveys, research / polling and more -- it's fairly flexible.
