Definitely useful but has it's limitations due to hallucinations, user control and memory / context. So there is a lot of overhype.

If you set your expectations appropriately, it is less of a boom, and more of a next big step with endless opportunities. We tell teams they cannot look at GenAI as a silver bullet or perfect solution but more like hiring someone who just graduated from graduate school. When they come in Day 1, they are going to need some some guidance and instruction, then they will spend the next several hours doing things you used to do 5, 10 or 15 years ago. Toward the end of the day they are going to need to feedback, they will have made mistakes as humans do, in the case of GenAI we call it hallucinations. As you work more with the GenAI it gets better the way a graduate student would. The more knowledge you provide it, the better it will get the same way a graduate student would with more information. If we embrace this with the right expectations, it will be a significant tool as we move forward.
