Will the metaverse ever truly replace real-world interaction?

The real question is, how much real-world interaction do we have in our daily lives as of now? Recently, I was going through my and my friends' average daily screen time on mobile, and the results were shocking. This made me check the average screen time globally, which was 7 hours. The amount of time we should be sleeping daily also happens to be the time we spend on our phones. It makes me wonder if we would ever voluntarily replace our real-world interactions. What do you think?
