It could, being more visible is always better, you can be on all social media platforms or just the ones that make sense for your product.
lack of social media presence may not completely destroy an app's potential, it can limit the app's reach and hinder its overall success.

Not necessarily. If you can reach SMEs and Enterprises the old fashioned way (given you are a B2B oriented company), you can still succeed

I'm confinced that not having a social media presence can be a big missed opportunity for apps. In today's hyper-connected world, social media can be a powerful tool to build brand awareness and attract new users :)

@brian_gore I haven't thought about that, to be honest. In this case, other ways to promote an app should be properly used, such as word of mouth, influencer marketing, SEO. A lack of social media presence will make it more difficult to gain traction. But it is still not necessarily a death sentence for the app's potential success :)

@ksenia_khriptovich what if the app is a new social media itself and the established social media banned the advertisement of it? What to do next?

It won't destroy potential, but alot of times people share their "tech stack", if you have no social media presence its harder for people to find you. It's also harder to build a community. Social media is just apart of your marketing strategy nowadays
